As we enter 2021, we're excited to welcome new team members who will help further grow Spotta's systems and partnerships.
Joining the Engineering team are Hanting Qin (R&D Engineer) and Jordan Docker (Firmware Engineer).
Hanting joined us at the end of October and will be working on the development of Forest Pod and testing new designs in our mechanical and entomology labs. He joins us as a top graduate from the University of Bath, where he studied Integrated Design Engineering.
Jordan started in November, having previously worked at Cirrus Logic who he joined after gaining a 1st in his Master’s degree in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. Jordan will be working closely with our software team to drive forward the development of our low power image recognition systems.
Sales & Partnerships
Working alongside Sue, our Business Development Executive, and Robert, our CEO, Ekansh Mittal is taking on a portfolio role covering partnerships, investigating new applications for Spotta’s technology and developing new business opportunities.
Ekansh started with Spotta in late October 2020, shortly after completing his MBA (Strategy) at Judge Business School (University of Cambridge). Ekansh’s role allows him to use the strategic expertise gained as a senior leader at the $1Bn product company, Kent RO, as he helps our founders Robert and Neil expand our market reach and explore ideas for future product development.
Office & Administration
With our growing team and the ongoing blend of working from home, at the office and in the field, Helen Snook has joined as Office Manager to help keep us all in check! She has worked in several high-growth companies and will provide invaluable support to the management team at Spotta.
Expanding the Team
“Following the successful first year of operations for the Bed Pod and as we prepare to launch to market our Forest Pod, it seemed a natural time to grow the team,” says Robert Fryers, our co-founder and CEO. “All our new teammates carry the hunger and ambition to succeed that you need in a young company, and we’re thrilled to have them joining us on the next phase of our journey.”
